even tho i was gonna start doing some DC characters just to balance out the sketches a bit, i found this old inked piece i did a while back so i sploashed on some marker colours, and thus my entry for today. hopefully DC or other type characters next time. :)

RARE GLIMPSE-SPEC SPIDEY UK ROUGHS

no marker madness today unfortunately as i was busy finishing up thumbnails/roughs/layouts for the latest issue of spec spidey uk. i thought u might be interested in having a rare look at the preproduction work that goes into comics and the journey before a spec spidey issue ends up on the shelves. these were actually done full size as roughs. then shrunk down as thumbnails for easier viewing. not as clear unfortunately but it's not meant to be. heh.

THE LEADER MARKER MADNESS

the leader is gonna be featured in one of the spidey issues i'm currently working on so thought i'd do a quickie character sketch and jazz up the designs a bit. i like seams on outfits. i dunno, makes it more real i suppose...like someone had to actually tailor make it.

didn't like this one as much. i think the hair's bothering me too much. :/

just finished up a quickie pinup for udon so thought i'd get a character sketch in first. not as complete as my other two marker uploads. from my sketchbook. used tombow brush markers. :)

HULK MARKER MADNESS

having fun with markers again! WHEEEE! haven't used them in ages, but i recently bought myself a new set of markers just to dabble again. anyways, here's a recent sketch of the hulk. with the movie coming out soon, thought it might be appreciated. also, it will be good practice as this will help prepare me for the convention circuit that's about to begin and i'm introducing coloured sketches in the mix. :D more to come soon. thanks. d.

TEAM SPIDEY UK DOES SMALLVILLE!

hey everyone, the project i was working on over the christmas break has finally gone live! it's an online comic adventure tie in to a smallville episode that was aired on the 13 march 2008 in the US. it's being featured on the cw website now and it's basically a choose your own adventure comic that you get to vote on to see how it turns out. unfortunately voting is reserved for US citizens only. but do check it out if you get a chance. click the picture below to go to the website. :) thanks!!
