PETER MacCALLUM CANCER CENTRE AND OPERATION FUNNYBONE CHARITY

a while back, i donated the piece above of killeroo artwork to the peter maccallum cancer centre to be published in an anthology australian comic book titled operation funnybone. although the piece went up for auction at the end of the campaign, it did not fetch the reserve set by the foundation. so here it is again going up for auction on ebay in a hope to fetch the reserve to be donated, part to the cancer centre and in part to the australian comics community. unfortunately it's only open to australian residents but please do have a look and if you like, please bid. it's for a good cause.

below is the coloured version of the piece that was published in operation funnybone. to have a look at the auction, please click link here.

HERE COMES DECEMBER AND HARPERCOLLINS

december is here! can't believe it. time sure flies. and what better way to celebrate december and the impending festivities by uploading stuff. harpercollins finally gave me the go ahead to show some images from the four children's amazing spiderman books that i've been working on for the past 8 or so months. the books are gonna be released early next year, dates to be confirmed.

i was originally gonna be doing the entire book including inks and colours, but realised it would be infringing too much on my other commitments. luckily, the decision was made to bring in long time collaborator and very talented artist, jeremy roberts to work on colours. and just as well cause as you can see from the samples below, jeremy completely blew the pages up. the covers of the books were done first which you can see above. needless to say i'm completely embarrassed since jeremy took it to another level with the interiors but of course i had to hog as much of the glory as possible so i thought it would be ideal for me to do the covers. not. plus i'm a bit of a control freak. so couldn't be helped. heh.

now, it's not confirmed, but harpercollins may be extending the contracts to another 2 books which would make it a total of six books in the end. considering we were originally offered only two books to start with, we must be doing something right.

so here are the cover and some interiors from the first harpercollins book that jeremy and i worked on. will upload pages to the other books in the coming weeks.
