ham tyler from V the final battle mini series. i used to think the V stood for visitors. but that's a pro sentiment for the aliens and not exactly what the resistance would have been aiming for when they defaced buildings and visitor's posters with that letter. thus making 'V' a very clever ambiguous title IMO.
