2 SECONDS OF FAME, ARTPIECE ON SMALLVILLE

haven't seen the episode yet, but got pointed out today from creator writer dwight macpherson, that one of my cover piece i did on his 'liberty movement' title made a cameo on smallville TV last night. hehe. i'm only guessing it'll be 2 seconds of frame time if even. but sounds more dramatic for a title tho doesn't it?

CEREAL: GEEK

anyone love the 80s? well, 80s cartoons that is. then u'd want to get this magazine. all about the love of that era. i contributed some art to it. :) here's the ad passed on to promote by the head honcho of cereal geek himself. :)

MELTER WHO?

so, for those that have been following me on twitter, i mentioned a wee while back that i had to draw/design this character below, the melter, to hopefully make him look kinda cool and contemporary. especially since i have to be drawing him on several pages of the next issue i'm working on.

needless to say, i found it really really hard especially with his flowing puffy sleeves and groovy peter pan boots with ribbed green tights. luckily upon further googling, i found that there were variations in his costume designs even though there were just very slight. still... phew...

so using the 3 images, i conceptualise something that will hopefully work. the third one, i'm happy with. happy enough that it won't drive me up the wall whilst drawing him on several panels of pages.

here's a bigger shot. i couldn't help thinking his shape and design is slightly reminiscent of nite owl from the watchmen movie. but it kinda works right?

didn't like all my previous sketches of scorpion. thought i'd try one giving him some added detail on his armour. like it slightly better.
